School Improvement Plan
Every year the school writes our new School Improvement Plan. This normally start about June, when we reflect on how well the previous year has gone. Our annual parent questionnaires and pupil surveys are used to contribute ideas so that we identify key points to work on.
All staff are asked to identify areas across the school and in particular subjects. An external Education company, Prospects (who won Educators of the Year in 2013) come in to facilitate with the Senior Management Team what the plan should look like and identify targets and success criteria using the above surveys, thoughts and analysis.
The plan is then approved by Governors about September time and in every Whole Governing Body meeting the Head Teacher and Deputy Head provide evidence to show how the plan is working.
In the past, we wanted to develop our outdoor areas for the children to work and play in, hence why we have the new play equipment and two new playgrounds (see photographs on our School Tour page).
Maths is an area the school has been working on for the last 18 months to develop. Please find attached our comprehensive maths action plan, with benchmarks to identify when different areas are completed. These are checked and monitored by Governors on a regular basis.
