Mathletics is a multi-award winning learning resource that encourages students and rewards results.
At Yenton, we are encouraging children to enjoy mathematics and have more opportunities to learn maths outside of school. They are given the opportunity to use Mathletics in lessons, at lunchtimes and at home.
The website is: www.mathletics.co.uk (external link).
Each child has their own username and password. Their login information can be found in their reading record. If you are unsure, please ask your child's class teacher.
Children will complete tasks set by their class teachers. They can also choose to revise tasks that they covered in their maths lessons. As well, they can play against their school friends and even children around the world. For those who have not got the internet at home, the children are able to use ipads in the entrance area during lunch time, so everyone has the opportunity to go on Mathletics.
PLAY ONLINE AND WIN AWARDS!
Work as a team – earn points and your class could win a certificate each week. Your class can then trade the certificates in for a prize.
Top ten children win a certificate and a raffle ticket each week. Your child's name could be picked out to win a school prize from the star of the week box.
Children that appear in the top ten will also be entered into a draw for a prize at the end of the year.
At the end of each term, the class with the most points wins a prize. Top ten children will also be shown on our school newsletter, every other week.
